When your dreams come true

I can see a pattern right in front of my mind’s eye, that of eternal suffering. We humans crave, cry, bang our heads, plead to God for our dreams to come true, for our wishes to be made real, as if there was nothing more that could mean the world to us. God sees us in pain, more pain and when the going gets too tough, sometimes, he says “Wish granted!”

The wish comes by, elates us for a few seconds, minutes, days, perhaps a few months, after which like any other thing, becomes ordinary and boring. It loses its charm because we have it now. Isn’t it?

For a moment, observe all the things, situations you wanted to be in, people you wanted to be a part of your life badly. Reflect on what you went through to plead to God to have them and later ending up with your wish granted. What happened next? Are you still ‘greatful’ for that? Or it has lost its shine and lustre?

The truth is, it is still the same, but your feelings toward it or the way you look at it or the person now has changed. I often go back to my words which I had written years ago, when I was in pain, wanting someone so bad in my life. These words are my sounding board, they help me to be grounded. They help me to be grateful for what I have now. It is not that I’m not greatful, on the contrary I feel blessed everyday for what I have. Yet, life and our way of living a ‘doing’ life often rips us from the very blessings that stands in front of us.

In a world where we are living today, it is , indeed saddening that people have forgotten the difference between people and things. Today, things are treated more precious than people and people are thrown around like used objects, waiting to be picked by someone who will use them far better than they did. Even writing these words makes me cringe.

The essence which I wish to convey is : People whose dreams, they wished for, turn into reality are indeed the lucky ones in the lot, those who wish and keep seeking, would rather be in the shoes of the lucky ones than anywhere else. Cherish what you so dearly asked for, love it the way you promised to God, when you wept those heavy salty tears. Hold your dream close to you, nurture it, with all the promises you made to God. This life is one, go beyond your fears and roar like a lion protecting his cubs ( dreams).

Greatful...as always...

Greatful for…..

Surprises: This week as much as I was surprised by a sudden low, I was amazed at how that very low a day before brought a sense of beatitude within. It  was like regaining my lost spirit.
My family: Strong, funny, loving and caring as ever. I love the moments when all of us sit together and share our life stories and discuss, smile and laugh over events. It makes for a perfect frame.
My best friends : Even as many days pass by without me acknowledging their value, I truly know that this heart of mine wishes the best for them in every passing second of the day. I value them and I only hope these friendships last for a life time to come.
Maths: I’m back to doing school maths again coz I’m preparing for an exam. Maths gifts you these lil moments of delight when you get the answers right! And sure, it only makes you work harder when you get them wrong:P
Love: This love of mine has been a strong support, been there through thick and thin, always attempting to send a few smiles my way when the heart was feeling blue. J Ah….the knowledge that love shall make things bearable sounds soothing.
My Inner Voice: Off late I have begun to talk to myself when the moments around seem nothing but bleak. It feels good to know that the fire within is still alive ready to charge my down spirits. Yes, I love myself, Do you?

Legendary is the love that withstands rejection. It will be free of anger and ego.
Legendary is the commitment that withstands humiliation. It will be one- pointed and will reach the goal.
Legendary is the wisdom that withstands turbulence. It will be integrated into life.
Legendary is the faith that withstands a million chances of doubt. It will bring perfection- siddhis.
Legendary are the events that withstand time. They will become morals for the millions
~ Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Pictures that brought a smile at my end:)    I love fab party ideas. So here are some:)

Greatful for A platter full of taste

This week I’m greatful for a plenty of things that happened in this Amazing August!

Greatful for Love..
From the emotion, to the expression
From learning to feeling,
From reading to talking,
Love sure is all that we have read…..and so much more.
A bounty full of joy expressed,
It gives smiles to whom you serveJ

Greatful for Pain….
And I’ll say it with Gibran
“Much of your pain is self chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.”~ Kahlil Gibran

Greatful for…Soothing Self
I realised today that at the end of the day, no one but you your ‘self’ alone have the capacity to rise above the shambles that you think your life has offered to you. A friend, a well wisher may show you how wonderful and diligent a person, a worker you are, but no thing works until your inner voice drives to shut the loud self deprecating voices and dance joyously to the achievements you have had in the past. The past smiles have their rewards to offer and say : I’ll come to you when the moment is right, and alone you deserve all the praise!:)

Dear Life,
My tryst with you is that of a life time, so well as well as you have understood me, I’m not far behind!
I’ll go above, go under or go through, but one thing I swear I’ll never do….and that is I’ll Never Give Up!!

Greatful for friendship
It is said we realise the value of something often when we lose it and so goes for a precious friend. I’m so glad I have her, my best well wisher from school time. Way too precious, way too great!:)
Have a blessed Weekend and a Superb September!;)

Greatful ......yet again..

Greatful ......yet again..

It’s been a long time since I was greatful. In a quick go….
·       To my dear Sir again, who was my foundation and my sole strength for my dissertation.
·       To my darling friend Vrinda, a girl I have never met, yet met for ever. For her lovely surprise and heart warming love and wishes.
·       To my teacher from Undergrad whom I always reach back to, for good news’s which I share and for every step I walk up in the ladder of my life.
·       To my two wonderful years of Masters. The hair pulling, the tears, the cribbing, the panic attacks were all worthwhile. I proudly say today “It was a risky, but the best decision of my life”. Yup, I’m a postgraduate now!
·       To happiness: for showing me her beauty, smiles, love and sparkly eyes. Happiness is me. Me is happiness.
·       To days at park spent walking: Ah! The sites make me smile. A dad with his little daughter or two kids chasing each other or boys playing football or elderly talking to each other.
·       To meditation: For reaching to me, and making me in turn reach to my inner self.

And to my blog, for always being so loving, even as I come back to it, now, not so often.

And Maxabella...from where this tradition of greatfulness began..:)
Happy weekend!

Beautitude

Beatitude

It is when silence
Hums softly in my closed eyes
The light enters me
When my body smiles
At me lovingly as I
Care and nurture her
When my face glows its
Own glory; the glitter shines
Back, from the mirror
When walk in the park
Opens little surprises
Beatitude heart

Greatful to..Postcrossing

Its been more than a month since I began Postcrossing and I have to say it's a delight getting to know people in addition to little fun facts about their country and them. The myriad of hand writings, stamps and the love that goes in selecting a postcard for a postcrosser whom you have never met is inexplicable. Of all that I know its a beautiful sweet gesture on one postcrosser's part to make a random postcrosser happy:)

Sharing with you some of my postcards.....
My very first postcard

This postcrosser from Sweden very kindly thought of sending me an Eiffel Tower which
was on my 'wish' list. Yet I think why from Sweden:P

A lovely, chirpy postcrosser from Georgia, USA, Beth. She was
contacted through direct swap and wrote back to me the next day:)
The following ones are some of the postcards received by some special people ( not postcrossers). I deeply cherish these ones:) -

Matterhorn Mountain Peak, Lying at the Swizz-Italy Border,
one of the highest peak in Alps

If this is how beautiful Switzerland is in a postcard,
I imagine how it would be for real:)

I wholeheartedly cherish this one sent to me by my brother
from USHUAIA, World's Southern Most city in Argentina

This was given to me by a sweet junior who went to Paris with her dad
Some of the postcards I sent across:
An Elephant decorated in Jaipur during the Elephant Festival
that is celebrated in the month of March with Holi

Lord Krishna with gopis: Vastrharan

This one is a mughal painting which has been re-painted
to its utmost detail
Need I say more, my love for postcrossing? ;)

Happy Weekend

Greatful for.. sweet things

It takes a lot of courage and hope to be greatful at the moment. But yes, I will not give up. Hope tries to burn in the wood in which flame is trying best to keep itself alive.

Warmth….Yes, I need loads of that.
Love and Hugs: That too
Motivation: Bags full of it
This week I’m greatful for:
·         My happy yesterday
·         My best friend, who lets me know its time I start acting like an adult!
·         My supervisors who trust me more than I myself do, for my research. I hope I can make myself proud
·         My dear friends who have been pulling me up
·         Rain: For making me write one of the best piece that is close to my heart. If you wish to read. It’s here
·         My mom: Who has been managing household chores in the absence of a maid. She has been doing a lot!
To freedom: May you beckon me soon :)

Hoping the coming week is a rocking one!
Happy Weekend everyone!

Greatful for.....My pretty Shoes

Linking at Maxabella's place....my very fond blogger, who always gives us a reason to be grateful:)

Ah!!! A reason to make me happy amidst my ongoing work pressure and in- my- face deadline. Anyways....
I got something to share with you. Although I consider myself a jewelry person, I love good looking gorgeous shoes. Peeptoes, stilletoes, ballerinas and good comfy sandals all invite me. Yet I've never been able to spend as much money on shoes as I do on jewellery.
Today was a special day. I bought three pairs. One comfy white slips ons, a smart ballerina like shoe, and the best of the lot: A pretty pair of wedges! Ah, it's hott;)
here are the pics:P

The best thing: Bows at the back. Though they are cliched, but somehow, this shoe was so inviting.

PS: the last time I went to this shop, I picked one in Beige, but had to return it coz of size problem. This time, I was lucky;) Got it a lil cheaper as well!!! Ah my mum made me buy it!!! I so love her:)<3
PPS: As much as I love stilletoes, my feet ache walking in them, so I find wedges the best! They balance your weight equally and look so chick;)
PPPS: For the guys out there, yes this was a 'up to the brim' girly post;)

This week I’m greatful for:
·        My new found Friends who have been my classmates for 3 semesters. Yesterday something happened (may be for the good, I think!) These girls were kind to be there. We had a great time after college. Had a yummylicious jalapeno and pineapple pizza, then hung out at Mc Donald’s and treated myself with a Butterscotch Mc Swirl, and my friend with a balloonJ
·        My Bestie: Whom I met after 5 looooong months. We had such a fun time, clicked pictures in our funny poses and I loved that we are finally together after long!
·        A friend I call Mado Mono: This friend surprised me this Monday morn’ by sending me a very short but sweet message! “ Oye PsychoJ Sup?” :D Thank you Mado Mono for thinking of me and being the reason to kick start my week on a very awesome Mad note;)
·        This lovely friend I found in my block. My college teacher gave me an assignment in my second sem to find an acquaintance and do some sessions with that person; not too technical, but more like just talking. Who knew that this awesomely cool aunty in my block will become a friend who I’ll forever cherish! Today I wrote her a love letter as she is off to another city!
·        To my Mentor in College and other teachers too: Yes, I hate my univ and teachers for many other things, but I love them too. They have been great. And as humans we all learn as we make mistakes. My mentor’c calm voice soothes me. He is great! And so am I;) haha!
·        To some online friends who have always stuck around in my weird times, made an effort to bring a smile on this faceJ  My heartiest thanksJ

Have a fab Weekend everyoneJ

Greatful for...Some smiles amidst weariness

I realize a week has gone by…so it’s time to be greatful again!Hmm…it’s hard to find greatful moments this week coz I have taken myself to my extreme limits viz a viz my work.
Maxabella brings a dull smile on my face as she says:

“Exhaustion - so there's way too much on at this time of year and we're all about to break. But, you know what, aren't we bloody lucky?!”

This week I’d like to greatful :

To my silent readers…..
Readers who come by at Yarn of~ words, read what’s on my mind, may feel sad, may smile or may for that matter think ‘what the hell does she think of herself’ for whatever reason…….thank you for taking precious time from your lives, to at least stop by. It’s alright if your words (or presence isn't noticed, but yes it's felt!) are not heard….Thank you still!

To a new sweet friend, who has seen my madness through this one week, well did you have to befriend me this time of the year?:P……the reply I get is ….”Mere paas akashwani thodi na ayi thi, kit ere assessments chal rahe hain”….You make me smile….and even though I do not know how long our friendship might last….but yes this moment shall be cherished!

To my family again for tolerating their cranky, irritable, annoying daughter, over- working has made me into one nasty girl. But their patience, I respect and admire as well…..

To ‘aaj jane ki zid na karo’ from Rohini Ravada and Ashai Mugam . The latter song, I dunno which language it is from, some South Indian one, but she is too melodious to the ears and to my heart as well..Thank you for singing and for gifting us tired souls such sweet honeydew voices to listen to…….

One more final assessment to go…..Yeah! I’ll crack it…it’s a viva…wokay!!
I’m looking forward to baking a chocolate walnut cake soon!
Happy December!
Stay Blessed

Greatful for...troubled moments

Sunday mornings are blissful, one reason being the weekly gift I get with my full doze of “The Speaking Tree” newspaper.
SO well, as I picked up the newspaper today, the very first quote reached right into me, my inner layers of consciousness and the quote goes like:
“ Deep doubts, deep wisdom. Small doubts, little wisdom”~ A Chinese Proverb

I have been sailing through the waters of life at the deeper end, and I do hope that I get and find my wisdom from all that every troubling moment has to offer.

So, this week I guess I’m greatful for:
·         My anxiety filled panic attacks ( gosh..never did I thought they’d be on my list of being greatful for)….for I hope they’ll at the same time touch the inner soul of mine~ leading me to a glorious path filled with millions of sunshine smiles…J
·         And my dear ones for being there with me alwaysJ

Join up at Maxabella’s space to feel greatful and blissful ;)
Have a GREAT DAY!!
