Excuse me for I’m naïve,
Yes I admit not to know what you do,
Forgive me for I cannot laugh,
Perhaps on the joke you laugh your heart out to,
Excuse me for my indifference,
For I do wish to choose what I read,
And yes I apologise, if my honesty isn’t that sugary.
Out there lay naked truths,
Waiting to be known and understood,
Out there lies cruelty, harshness, plain monotony,
And here I wish to pick,
Safety, of heart and mind,
Over the drugs and drinks you use.
Mistake me not for generalisations,
For I thank God for the nice people too,
But just if you can excuse me,
For not knowing many (truths)
But just a few!
