PACE

If only life didn’t run at this pace,

Forcing us to believe this ‘reality’,

No one knowing the truth

Everyone succumbs to the fallacies,

And yet we continue to believe,

That fantasies and realities are apart,

The mysteries of a labyrinth,

A spiral shape, no end, no start.

Chaos exists everywhere,

Like particles of dust scattered,

Waiting for the light to reflect,

The quantities of this particulate matter,

The disturbance settles in piecemeal,

Like few silences in a thunderstorm,

Mortifying the happy moments,

And trampling on them like left away stones.

Had I had all the time in my hand,

And money to spend with freedom,

With my wonderful friends,

I’d spend each day like a vacation,

But works keeps us going,

Being idle is dangerous too,

We crib, we cry, and get distressed,

A life which we live

At times, seems nothing beyond a mess.

What’s the point if I go on and on?

Had things had to change,

They would have, in the time now gone,

Moments of all flavours,

We can’t choose, but given to taste,

The bitterness of some, so dull,

The sweetness of some, we praise.

Repose and spread your arms,

Like wings, and feel the breeze,

It may seem cold and sultry,

But shall in moments your heart reach.

The birth of “Fakeness”

Lying deep guarded by values,

Hidden from the eyes of reality,

Trying to find it’s way stealthily,

It overthrows the ‘real’ callously!

It appears to be omniscient,

For it knows not what is true,

The heart bereaved of its purity,

Tries to bear its sordidness.

The heart and the mind wish to absolve,

If only the ‘wrong’ they did could be dissolved,

In the vast oceans of clarity,

Leading to genuineness defeating artificiality!

My heart is more real than I know,

As ‘fakeness’ tries to reside,

Telling me its conquered many hearts,

And manipulated many lives!

All this while I believed,

I’m as pure as 24 c Gold,

And now I’m left to wonder,

If the newness hides the old (me)?

A world I see, in the present,

Where the ‘fakivity’ has a Rule,

The masters and the slaves as well,

Have become fake, thinking its cool!

And there on the path, like beggars,

‘Real’ emotions are left to cry,

No takers, for the ‘thing’ of past,

Malnourished, they may soon die!

People turning into machines,

For even robots might seem ‘real’ to me,

Blinded by the ‘real’ artificiality,

As they progress towards a calamity!

As long as I live here,

For this ‘ fakivity’ I have a real fear,

I’m honest enough to hold you up,

Your birth shall soon be your death, My dear!

The “Inception Effect”

“I feel dazed,
Everything seems blurred,
Can you get me out of this please?
Someone there, Help me, please?”

“I’m lost, lost in this labyrinth,
No way out, I’m all by myself,
I, me and my subject,
Is this imagination or a Reality?”

“How could a world exist?
Far beyond my dreams?
A dream within a dream,
False, but truth, it seems!”

“Will you wake me up please?
Never have been so enthralled by my dream,
New images stir up my mind,
Questioning the sole ‘Reality”.

“How could I let you in my mind?
How could I let you reach me?
For there lie deep secrets in the chamber,
The answers unknown, alone would be the key!”

“As my mind gets restless,
You wake me up before I die,
And this time you tell me the truth,
That’s its real, and do not belie”

“For this dream makes me lost,
Takes the “me” away from me,
I feel so disassociated,
I beg you, “Lets find the ‘Real ME’.

“Who is this hypnotist?
Trying his charm on me?
Wait till I see your face,
I’ll smash you down on your knees!”

“But I’m nonplussed with this dream,
For it is more than real to me,
Why, Oh! Why did I sleep?
To raise my hopes, far beyond eternity?

“As I take a deep breath,
To calm my soul within,
My senses all intact,
But deep down its dark within”.

“I fear it is my unconscious,
The gates of which remain closed,
I know you not well to enter,
Turn around, and find your door”.

“You thought you’ll inveigle,
Thinking it might be easy,
I’m far tougher than you,
In there is a deep mystery….”
